According to a Tweet and information published by the Saudi Press Agency on November 14, 2020, Royal Saudi Naval Forces has officially launched its new corvette Avanti 2200 christened HMS Al-Dariyah, designed and built by Spanish shipbuilder Navantia. The launching ceremony was held at the same time in the Saudi Naval Forces Headquarters and Navantia shipyard, in San Fernando, Cadiz, Spain.
